Time goes by quickly, I’m 43 today π. I’m not really planning on doing anything today because I’m really tired π«©. I’d rather just relax at home. I’m not big on celebrations anymore like I used to be. Since I’ve gotten older, birthdays (and holidays) are pretty much like any other day to me. They used to be fun when I was a kid though. My parents would get me my favorite cake (marble with vanilla frosting) π . I’d also get gifts from family that were pretty great, like money or whatever I was into at the time. Sometimes I just want to enjoy the peacefulness of staying at home alone like I do now. Not much has changed in the last year and sometimes that can be a good thing.
I did order some things online as gifts for myself π. I got some 𫧠body care and home fragrance from Bath & Body Works and a Chase Elliott shirt π. I don’t have them yet so I can’t post pictures.
How do you like to spend birthdays? Relaxing or having a celebration?
Happy 43rd birthday! ππ Honestly, thereβs nothing wrong with choosing peace and relaxation over a big celebration. Sometimes the best birthday gift is simply giving yourself permission to slow down and enjoy a quiet day. And treating yourself to a few things you enjoy definitely counts as celebrating! π Hope you have a wonderful, restful birthday and that the year ahead brings plenty of good moments. β€οΈ
