I decided to switch to a different domain for something different. I had Erin.nu since 2008 and after awhile, I didn’t like the .nu much. The extension .nu is for Niue, and island in the South Pacific Ocean. It’s not very common and .nu domains seemed to be all the rage in the earlier 2000’s. I’ll probably keep it for awhile since it’s registered for 2 years. I set it up to redirect here so people can find me. Sometimes I just need a change. I lost everything on the old site anyway and had to start over π€·π»ββοΈ. There could be some errors is some places while I get everything configured. If there are, leave a comment or fill out the contact form (link in top menu).
I also registered erin.social for all my social media. This theme is a little limited for icons but I still love it. I also basically just wanted another small project. π
I love the sound of the new domain better, erin.social is a great domain choice. Good luck getting all the little details and redirects sorted out. β€οΈ

I think a new domain can really make a website feel fresh and give you a little motivation to work on it again. Erin.social is a pretty clever choice for a site connected to your social media. Itβs also nice that youβre keeping the old domain for now and redirecting it, so people who already know it can still find their way here.
